Dr. Acosta is board-certified and fellowship-trained in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He helps patients navigate the difficult journey from diagnosis to treatment while creating trusting and effective relationships with them.

Before joining Capital Digestive Care, he served as a captain in the Medical Corps of the United States Navy, most recently as a staff gastroenterologist and director of endoscopy at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Outside the office, Dr. Acosta spends his free time with his wife, their 3 children, and their dog. He likes to travel and enjoys many outdoor activities including bicycling, hiking and swimming.
